Reading 2

In reading two I learned how to create a better resume. The first article talked about creating resume 2.0. Very different from a typical resume, the new approach to resumes as described in the article, I feel will likely become a new movement as society becomes more interested in social media.“Padding” a resume with links to blogs, pictures, writing samples and so on not only show an ability to keep up with technology but allows the person presenting the resume to show multiple talents and sides. The other reading I thought was equally useful. Stepping back to resume version 1.0 it informed how to write a better resume. As someone who is not intending to hire someone to write my resume for me I found this article helpful as well. Some important pointers include using a resume to focus on achievements, market yourself, and keep the resume simple and brief.
